My name is Laine Kaleja. I live in Latvia, Northern Eastern Europe, but traveling is my passion, so I call myself a world citizen! I love the sea, mountains, consistently learning new things, working on my personal development, and cat Mickey.
Currently, I am doing my dream business — being a Mindset Coach. I have been working in sales all over North America, leading teams of students, working for a charity organization, etc.
Even though it all sounds amazing, I have struggled astonishingly a lot with limiting beliefs and mental blocks; that’s why one of my biggest passions in life…
When I was doing one of the most challenging jobs — selling educational books door-to-door in the USA and Canada, I learned a valuable lesson about unconditional confidence.
I came across this concept of unconditional confidence in Dustin Hillis’s seminars — Dustin Hillis is a CEO of Southwestern Family of Companies and has been a company’s record-holder in sales for many years.
I must admit that I had been struggling with self-confidence a lot since my teenage years. A significant breakthrough came when I learned to love myself and applied the concept of unconditional confidence in my life.
The unconditional…
Making important decisions can be challenging. Should I start or end that relationship or not? Should I quit my 9–5 and start my business or not? Should I move away or stay closer to my family?
I remember I used to get caught up in the analysis-paralysis mode a lot when making decisions. I was an incredible postponer when it came to making more significant decisions.
Then I found one simple principle that makes decision-making easier and enables me to make those decisions confidently.
It is the idea that healthy decisions serve out higher self and others, but unhealthy decisions…
I grew up in a country with an average monthly income of around 1,000 USD. However, my family and I never earned 1,000 USD per month — we earned below average.
After my first year of college, I went to work for the summertime in a country with more than 5,000 USD average monthly income.
I sure was excited about the possibility of earning 5–10x more than what I was used to making.
However, I did not fulfill my earnings potential I had that summer.
Why?
I believe that the reason I did not fulfill my financial potential then comes…
I had a friend who often categorized people into those who have a burning desire and those who don’t. He categorized them based on their actions and the sparkle in their eyes. “You can see who has that burning desire and who does not,” he used to say.
For a while, I agreed with him. However, working with young people as a sales and leadership program mentor, I realized that, although he is partially correct, there is also a big group in between both categories.
It is a group that wants something more out of life, but they need to…
There have been several notable moments in my life when I have felt stuck. Emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, and every other possible way.
The funny thing is that when you feel stuck, you don’t want to share that with others because you feel like you are the only one who feels that way. And you think that there is something wrong with feeling stuck.
Somehow, our high-achiever and perfectionist society has convinced us that we always need to have everything planned out from the early days.
I felt that way since High school years when our career teacher emphasized that…
Do you still have that dream you’ve been contemplating for a few years already? Perhaps a business idea, a full-time freelancing career, or a different career that you would actually love?
Have you been following other people and consuming their content, wishing you could also do that — provide value, make an impact, earn money by doing what you love?
But you can’t seem to get yourself together to start taking consistent and aligned action on that, right?
I have been there. Several vision-less years had kept me stuck with doing the same things over and over again. I was…
Has it ever been confusing how many different lists of “success habits” are out there? Tens of thousands of suggestions, all of them slightly different, right? To implement it all is overwhelming!
Is there one morning habit for success that leaves a more significant impact than any other?
Yes. Many highly successful people call this habit “a key”, such as, Sir Richard Branson, Oprah Winfrey, Tony Robbins, Tim Ferris, etc.
This habit is a habit I have been reading about on and off for 7–8 years. Perhaps you too. But I had never really made it a consistent practice for…
Have you promised yourself at the beginning of each week that you will be consistent and productive?
And then you lose the motivation, energy, and focus by the middle of the week and don’t really reach your weekly goals?
Perhaps you already realize that the problem is subconscious. But you try to solve it consciously by pushing yourself harder and even denying yourself rest to follow through with your goals.
Perhaps you even experienced burnout this way which is a common issue for new entrepreneurs, content creators, etc.
Burnout is a large enemy of productivity.
It is hard to become…
For many years, I identified myself as a perfectionist and felt that it was normal. As normal as that I like chocolate cakes or that I am a goal-oriented person. I did not realize that perfectionism is not a sign of magnificence. Rather, it holds me back from living out my truest potential and getting things done effectively.
I did not realize how limiting the perfectionism mindset is.
Learning to place my value and confidence in who I am and working on my self-esteem has been a game-changer to overcome perfectionism.
The next significant step was to implement productivity techniques…
